Groups were probably better when invincimonks were around and prot bond owned. At that time, the only monks you could get actually wanted to monk.

heh, oh those monk players are still around, ever see how many monks that you get randomly assigned in CompArena are actually healers/protectors?? I think you could play all day and count them on one hand.

I actually had a group in comp arena with one healer monk and one prot monk. Needless to say, we went flawless for...a long time. Consecutive victories? err....

Funny thing is, someone that we beat mentioned the murphy's law of guild wars post from somewhere in here.

when i warriorfy i don't attack if i have spiteful on. I ask all the other warriors to do likewise. but still one guy keeps going and i keep seeing -32 -32 -32 -32 -32 above my head...

Uhm, do you ever look at your status monitor? It deals damage when YOU deal damage, not when you take it....

FoW is a piece of piss. All you need is 2 warriors (even 1 will do), 1 battery nec with well of blood + BiP (BR is ok too), 1 prot (hybrid if u can find one), 1 heal, and the rest fire nukers.

Still better than PUGs. I would much rather have a Hench group that attacks what I tell them to attack than your normal PUG group that can't tell it's butt from it's face.

I rarely have a problem with spiteful spirit as I play a mesmer that can double shatter hex. I also bring in inspired hex in PUGs. Of course I can't stop people being complete idiots, especially if the casters get aggro constantly or the monk runs in to "lure" the monsters and then runs like a headless chicken around all the other casters.

rofl, i dont use spiteful spirit either. i hate jagoff monks who cant heal...
/extreme sarcasm...
got a Me/W once, kept agroing everything. asked nice to stop once. we asked nice again. third tome we TOLD him to quit or we would quit healing him and not follow him the next time. he did it a fourth time believe it or not. and then when we didnt heal him and he died, he stayed. he stayed and pinged the map constantly for the next 30 minutes.

the most retarded group i was ever in was in UW. a warrior pulls out a staff and aggros the ataxes to the right with only 4 party members loaded. then someone agro'd the ones on the left.

I think fault lyes in simply the fact that more and more noobs are getting rushed through to ascention in a few hours and continuing to suck in fow/uw.

Yeah, and I've stayed off any form of FoW/UW unless with guildies.
I think the 'good' FoWers/UWers (there's still lots of you out there pugging!) have found their own private groups after doing it for so long, and what's left is the new players.

I seriously cannot stand people who insult my monk skills because they run into 4 elementals, too far away from me, die, then insult me.

At that point I tell my guild to go into random districts and spam "XXX IS GIVING FREE ITEMS, PM HIM"( I do this to any radical, extreme, ridiculous, idiotic, any word that can be censored with *'s idiots who annoy me and you should too )

It's cruel in conjuction to my excessive Leeroy Jenkins ways, but seriously.

Aww... it's a pitty that those who are good have their own groups and don't pay anyone else any attention though. I'd love to get more experience in both UW and FoW, but... finding a team is hard.

Maybe I don't play my monk as well as I should, maybe the normal teams end up taking too much aggro, I dunno, all I know is that I've made it to the forgemaster as prot. monk (and the only one there, we were taking it VERY slow after our healer left) and haven't made it further than the smiters in UW.

I go exclusively via PUGs, and i've had my share of good and bad runs. The important thing is to talk via team chat and see if the other prospective run-mates have any understanding of their roles on the team. So I would ask if the monk is healer or protector, if the necr is a battery, etc. Better to find out before spending any money and going in.

I've only recently started going into FoW again, with pugs no less; I've yet to find a bad group. >.> What's strange is no one collects gold in FoW groups, so I've yet to pay 125 gold. None of my PUGs have died pre-forge, and it usually ends because people have to leave. I even ended up solo healing the entire beach area after the second healer and tank left during this last run.

EXPERIENCED SMiTING WARRIOR LFG 4 SMITE RUN TO FOW R UW -- Never take this guy.

I think Amused Observer has the best point here. Just spend all that waiting time finding people making sure the people who you already have know what to do.

I would suggest not grouping with anybody who says they are experienced, good, great, best, no f*cking noobs, ect.

They seem to think they are the greatest GW player ever, and their ways are the best.
